Omaha baseball dominates series opener against Northern Colorado

Omaha hosted Northern Colorado on Friday for the first game of the weekend series. Previous coverage in the video above With the win over the Bears, the Mavericks move to 11-22 overall and 9-7 in the Summit League, while the Bears fall to 7-28 overall. and 6-9-1 in league play. ONE came out the door swinging. They took a 7-0 lead at the end of the third. Charlie Bell pitched four scoreless innings to start things off for Omaha. of the seventh, Zach Lechnir was able to drive the Mavs up to eight runs. A couple plays later and a Tyler Bishops hit to center brought home Henry Zipay as the Mavs took the 11-1 victory.
